The Consultant shall be responsible for providing Services for an Assessment of the Zoo’s Fire and Life Safety (“FLS”) Systems and a comprehensive report on 

• Findings,
• Recommendations, and
• Estimated Costs for Recommendations

Fire & Life Safety ("FLS") Systems to be Assessed, in collaboration with the Zoo:

• (Main Fire Alarm Panel in Administration Building is not included as the existing one is being replaced);
• Fire stopping in mechanical/electrical rooms and around fire doors;
• Remote Fire Alarm Panels
  • as well as auxiliary functions/devices. 
  • 33 locations on site.
• Fire Alarm Systems
  • all devices listed within the fire alarm testing reports (heat, smoke & beam detectors, pull stations, audible/visual signal devices etc.).
• Suppression Systems
  • Sprinklers and restaurant kitchen hoods.
• Public Address System.
• Remote Fire Hydrants
  • 37 units on site.
• Emergency/Exit Lighting.
• Site Fire Plan.
• Fire Extinguishers.
• Stand-by Generators.
• Emergency Phone System.

Fire Alert Procedures:

• How Security will be alerted of fire alarms once the Control Room is closed for the day.
